ABOUT YOUR FACILITATORS
AMY HEASMAN
Amy Heasman, born in East London, UK, is a 300hr Yoga Teacher, Founder & Executive Director of Kootenay Yoga Festival & Vocalist / Songwriter with over 15 years of diverse experience. She currently resides in the serene landscapes of the Kootenays, BC, Canada. Teaching styles include Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Embodiment, Pranayama, Meditation & Mantras.
Her yoga journey has profoundly transformed her belief system, allowing her to approach life with heightened compassion, humility, respect, and, most importantly, gratitude. In her offerings, Amy weaves the rich tapestry of yogic teachings, practices, and philosophies, expressing a deep appreciation and respect for the lineage. Believing in the power of mindful and empowering practices, she emphasizes their ability to connect us with our inner selves and foster greater awareness, presence, and intention. Amy incorporates her love for music into her offerings, recognizing the transformative potential of sound and vocal vibrations in healing unheard aspects of ourselves. She sees these vibrations as a means to cultivate clear communication, release stagnant energy, and open energetic centers for increased self-respect, authenticity, and purpose.
Amy is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Kootenay Yoga Festival, a community-based holistic wellness, music, and art festival nestled in Slocan Valley. She extends her profound love and appreciation for creating transformative spaces. With a deep commitment to fostering holistic well-being and authentic self-expression, she envisions the festival as more than an event—it is a sacred gathering where individuals can connect on profound levels through education, experiential learning, and the joyous spirit of play.
CINDY SPRATT
Cindy is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Eating Psychology Counsellor & Eating Disorder Recovery Coach specializing in Culinary & Functional Nutrition. While offering online and in-person workshops & cooking classes, individual counsel, and retreats, she weaves her areas of expertise by infusing nutritional education with emotional & mental guidance and culinary passion. It is her mission to help individuals make realistic, long-term, and sustainable life changes for thriving health.

Cindy graduated from CSNN in 2012 and has been working in the field of Holistic Wellness ever since. As a retreat facilitator, Cindy aims to provide a safe space for expression & healing, a comfortable & nurturing environment, and provide participants with a deeply Nourishing experience through real food, education, movement, mindfulness, & connection, that they can take home to apply to their everyday lives.

We have rented a beautiful multi-bedroom house in Vernon, BC, with lakeviews, fire pit, large outdoor decks, and hot tub. You’ll find several Accommodation Options below, which range in price.
